Dolmen Music

The Dolmen project was founded by the Hungarian-born, Netherlands-based Tamas Soos in 2006, dedicated to atmospheric, deep soundscape-oriented musical expressions to create immersive sonic experiences.
From hypnotizing, slowly evolving textures to surrealism and abstraction, the dolmen project focuses on long-form live acts that invite the listeners to enter a contemplative head space as his albums as well as his live performances provide the opportunity to explore the trance-inducing properties of extended sound exposure.
Whether it can be described as ambient, sleep music, or psychedelic new age, he is more comfortable leaving it for others to categorize. Nevertheless, the core of his main motivation is to compose music with the ability to shift the brain's normal waking state into a deeply focused, altered state of consciousness where listeners loose their sense of time and become completely absorbed in the sound.
Sound design techniques are not limited to using the same principle throughout his collection. However, the idea of trying to blur the boundaries between electronic and acoustic live instrumentation remains the same.
